Texarkana is in the extreme upper east portion in Bowie county at the junction of Interstate 30 and US highways 59, 67, 71 and 82. The town is 29.5 square miles. Zip code area is 75501, 75503, 75505 and 75599. There are 2 golf courses in the Texarkana area. What’s unique about this town – a portion of it also lies in Arkansas. Wright Patman Lake is in a portion of Bowie and Cass county, on the Sulphur River, 10 miles southwest of Texarkana. The lake is 18,994 acres and maximum depth is 40 feet. The water controlling authority is the US Army Corp of Engineers.
