Southlake is known as sophisticated living, affluent neighborhoods with a neighborly community. Southlake Town Square is a community favorite for shopping and dining (and one of mine too). All the parks in Southlake are just great, but in my opinion the best is Bicentennial Park. The Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve is also in Southlake. The cuisine is diverse. Lake Arlington is located on Village Creek, a tributary of the West Fork Trinity River, just north of Interstate 20 off Arkansas Lane in Arlington in Tarrant county. Surface area 1,939 acres, maximum depth 51 feet, impounded 1957. Conservation pool elevation is 550 feet above mean sea level. Fluctuation is 12 feet. The reservoir controlling authority is the City of Arlington. You can fish, boat, jetski, canoe, kayak, golf and play at Richard Simpson Park.
Benbrook Lake TX
Benbrook Lake is 3,800 acres, 41 miles of shoreline, and the maximum depth is 61 feet. Lake is located 10 miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth. The conservation pool elevation is 694 feet above mean sea level. Fluctuation is 4 feet annually. It is owned and operated by US Army Corp of Engineers.
Eagle Mountain Lake TX
Eagle Mountain Lake is located on the West Fork Trinity River, just north of Fort Worth and Lake Worth in Tarrant County. Zip code area is 76179. Surface area 8,738 acres, maximum depth 47 feet, fluctuation is 2-9 feet, impounded 1932. The controlling water authority is Tarrant Regional Water District. This lake does allow boathouses on the water.
Grapevine Lake TX
Lake Grapevine is just north of the city of Grapevine. Surface area 6,684 acres, 60 miles of shoreline, maximum depth 65 feet, impounded 1952. The conservation pool elevation is 535 feet above mean sea level. Fluctuation is 5-10 feet. The zip code area is 75022. The reservoir controlling authority is the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Lake Worth TX
Lake Worth is in the city limits of Fort Worth in Tarrant County. Lake size is 3,489 acres and maximum depth is 22 feet. Full pool is 594 ft msl. This lake does allow boathouses. The controlling water authority is City of Fort Worth.
