Lake Palestine
Near Tyler in East Texas
Lake Palestine is a freshwater lake in northeast Texas. It is located on the Neches River, 15 miles southwest of Tyler on Texas 155. The surface area is 25,560 acres, 18 miles long, with 135 miles of shoreline, and the maximum depth is 58 feet. The conservation pool elevation is 345 feet above mean sea level. Fluctuation is 2.2 feet. The reservoir controlling authority is Upper Neches River Authority.
At Lake Palestine, you may fish, boat, swim, waterski, and jet ski. Lake Palestine Resort includes an RV park, banquet hall, lodging, marina, and grill/store. Species of fish include white bass, hybrid striped bass, channel and blue catfish, flathead catfish, and crappie. The popular Pine Cove Christian Camp and Villages Resort are located at Lake Palestine.
